126. Attijariwafa bank Egypt received four awards from EMEA Finance, one of the leading institutions in the field of finance and banking. The bank was awarded for a number of corporate financing syndication with several leading banks in the banking sector during the annual conference held by EMEA Finance in London.
Attijariwafa bank Egypt participated in a number of syndicated loans in the financing sector which enabled the Bank to win “The Best Restructuring Award in Africa 2018” award, whereby the bank played the role of an arranger after sealing a number of syndications. The four awards granted by EMEA Finance included the Best Restructuring deal in North Africa, Best Telecommunications Deal, Best Refinancing in Africa and Best Refinancing Deal
In this context, Halla Sakr, Managing Director of Attijariwafa Bank Egypt said; “We are proud that weve been granted the international award, which confirms our ambitious strategy of becoming one of the top 10 banks by 2022.” The award represents a new cornerstone in Attijariwafa bank Egypts presence in the promising Egyptian market”.
Tamer Ragheb, Head of Corporate Banking and Financial Institution of Attijariwafa bank Egypt also stated “The bank succeeded to accomplish a number of key milestones in the banking sector, where we took our first concrete steps to achieve our strategy of growth and expansion as the total volume of loans of large companies reached EGP 11.4 bn by the end of 2018 with a growth of 36%.This award enhances the banks presence in the syndicated loans market especially during 2018; Attijariwafa bank Egypt has participated in several syndicated loans in various sectors including petroleum, telecommunications and fertilizers”.
